Our Story

Honey House Boards was born out of habit, honestly. Growing up in a large, loud family in which my mother was constantly "adopting" family friends, it was easy to continuously prepare copious amounts of food for the masses at various gatherings. I've kept my mother's habit of bringing in our friends to join us for dinners and other extended events, keeping our loved ones close and fed.

Color is an extremely important part of creating the boards, whether on small scale or at 35 square feet. A childhood art class stuck out in my mind in which we mocked an artist's style, breaking apart our paintings into segments not dissimilar to a graph. We had to specifically ensure that no segments of our paintings in one color had intersected with another segment of the same color. It became a bit of an obsession to draw on the variety of color throughout the creation of these boards, pulling on more thematic elements to tie them into the festivities. This is the part that dazzles our eyes and allows us to eat with more than just our mouths.
